Duke Nukem Forever went up for *ahem* preorder at a few digital distribution sites today. Steam, GamersGate, and Direct2Drive. D2D has the best price at $38.21. This game is supposed to be using Steamworks so it will require Steam.
MSRP for DNF is $49.99.
- Steam has it for $44.99, which is 10% off.
- GamersGate also has it for $44.95. Four cents cheaper than Steam. But you also get a bunch of blue coins, which you can use on future purchases at their store. GamersGate UK has it for £29.95 (
£39.95), which is 25% off.
- IGN PC Store also has it for $44.95, but you’d be better off buying from Direct2Drive because they don’t have any coupons available.
- Direct2Drive (D2D) has it for $44.95, but if you use promo coupon code B3EB8BCE9E03B78AFD02296D1E3A623B at checkout, you’ll save 15% off, which makes the game only $38.21. (If the above coupon has expired you can get a new one here). D2D UK has it for £35.95 (
£39.95), but there’s no coupons available so you’d probably be better off buying the game on GamersGate UK or directly from Steam.
No matter where you buy it, you’ll need to activate it on Steam, so might as well go with the best bundle deal or price.
Hopefully, you won’t have to wait another 12 years to play your game lol.
Current release date is June 14, 2011.
EDIT: Green Man Gaming lowered the price of their preorder to $44.99
