Dungeon Defenders is on sale at Amazon as the Game Downloads Deal of the Week.

The game uses Steamworks, so you’ll have to activate it on Steam.

Purchasing the game comes with a free pet Dragon called Nagi. The game has an 81/100 metascore and a demo is available on Steam.

This game is a very fun third person tower defense/action RTS style game. There’s some RPG aspects tossed in there also. Tower building is a little different. In this game it’s more like building towers in key locations where enemies bottle neck and your melee characters can spam their attacks. It’s a little different from the games where you set up paths for enemies and try to funnel them to specific bottlenecks.

It’s definitely more fun in co-op mode, but it the game gets real grindy. DLC is being released for the game awfully quickly. It’s hard to keep up at times. Most of the holiday DLC were free when they were intially released.

The Amazon game of downloads deal of the week deal on Dungeon Defenders should last until Sunday.

Thanks to Indra for sending in this game deal.
