Call of Duty: Black Ops is on sale for 33% off at Direct2Drive, which matches the current Steam Weekend Deal price. However, if you’re in the US you can save an additional 15% off. This game uses Steamworks so it requires Steam anywhere you buy it.
- Direct2Drive US has it for $34.16 after 15% off coupon. Otherwise it’s $40.19. DLCs are 15% off with coupon.
- Direct2Drive UK has it for £33.99, which is more than the current Steam price. But there’s a deal for 15% off all DLC packs so if you’re missing some of the extra maps, this is the place to go.

I’m seriously thinking about picking this game up. I’ve been playing it for the Steam Free Weekend and I’m level 19 or 20 already. It’s pretty fun. Reminds me of Modern Warfare 1, which is the last CoD game I played. The graphics aren’t that great and the animation is kind of jerky. Sniper rifles seem to be useless. I love the knifing and wallbanging in this game though.
Black Ops has an 81 metascore.
So, is has anyone else been playing the free weekend?
